We have sample items for review, we are manufacturers as opposed to a retailer. Doing custom work entails a wide variety and to keep costs down we don’t showcase all that we can do. We personally discuss your needs and
options to create your best space.
It all depends on our current
production schedule. More specialty items take longer if we have to design and engineer it, but a basic kitchen can take up to between 3 and 8 weeks, again this depends on how many projects are on the schedule. Another factor is materials, at times they can be delayed in arriving, so these things must be factored in.
We can price hardware for you. This depends on your
choice for what you like. We only carry Stainless Steel Bar Pulls in house. Other items must be ordered. You are also free to order your own hardware and we will Install for $4.00 each. However, the hardware MUST BE ON SITE ON THE DAY OF INSTALL. We do not make special trips back to just do hardware due to scheduling. If you request that we do make a special trip, there is an additional trip charge.
Yes. We prefer that they can be pricked up or delivered within 30 days, but we can make arrangements.
Yes. We are required to charge sales tax, unless you are a contractor or builder and you have completed a Form 5000 for us. We do have a cash and carry program for resell, feel free to discuss that program with us. There is no sales tax on Installation or any service that is just labor related.
Yes, we do offer a 15% Discount. We also offer a 10% Discount for all who directly serve in the Military or Police Department, as well as for all religious organizations and non-profits. (Contractors must complete our application packet)
Yes. We only use soft close hardware.
For older door remakes, we can supply some of the old-fashioned hinges, but they have to be special ordered.
Yes, we do. The door style has to be confirmed if it can be matched if not all doors are being replaced. Pricing is based on square footage, so door sizes as well as drawer front sizes MUST be provided.
The choice is yours. The most common is Maple or Clear Alder. Other wood species are available such as Oak, Hickory, Walnut, Cherry, Mahogany and others. Keep in mind these species can be quite pricey, and quoting may take longer in order to obtain pricing from vendors.
Yes, we offer glass inserts for the doors. Glass type depends on your choice. Price is dependent on the type of glass. We have to get quotes from our vendor for specialty glass so please keep in mind this slows down the quoting process.
There is a material in MDF that is “waterproof”. We do not recommend, or warranty cabinets placed outdoors.
Yes, every order is provided a warranty.
Yes. Our paints and stains are for Industrial use only. Keep in mind if you finish your cabinets yourself, the outcome may not come out as you expected.
We do renderings once a final measurement is determined. Our goal is 1 to 2 days. Though we do not charge a fee to do renderings, we do only 3D views until after a quote has been approved. Renderings are primarily used for sizing purposes, they do not provide an accurate look of the completed product with the system we currently use, such as color and door style.
Yes. Once a estimate is approved, we will come field measure for final measurements.
Our payment policy is as follows: Deposit upfront is 50%. Prior to receipt of cabinets another 40% is collected. On the day installation is completed, the final balance of 10% is due.
No. Once deposit is made, there is No Refund or Credit. Because we special order material for each job, we ourselves are unable to cancel orders. Deposits are not accepted until an agreement to perform the work is signed by buyer(s) and Cabinets Plus LLC. In addition, a preliminary mechanics lien is held for every install until final payment is received. This is common practice, when work is being completed in homes or commercial properties. This protects both builders and Manufactures and is mandatory to satisfy bonding purposes for licensed businesses. Once Final Payment is received, a lien waiver is released and a hard copy will be provided to you.
We do not anticipate any issues, but should one occur, we will have a meeting about it to problem solve. If you should still be unsatisfied, we recommend that you contact the Registrar of Contractors. At that point they will determine what is acceptable and what we would be required to change. The Registrar of Contractors is designed to protect you from poor workmanship. Cabinets Plus LLC has zero complaints and we plan to keep it that way.
ANY changes REQUIRES a written Change Order. This order is to be signed by both parties. Additional Charges may apply, depending on the circumstance or requirement. The change(s) will NOT occur until this change order is signed and any additional costs are agreed upon. This includes any additional work requested at the time of Installation. if it requires an additional trip to jobsite a trip charge will also be added.
No. We do not do electrical or plumbing! This is why we strongly suggest you use a contractor or handyman. We are not responsible for any water damage caused by leaking or stripped valves. We are not responsible to any fixture or housing component other than the cabinets or countertops themselves. If we identify an issue with these things, we will let you know, but ultimately the design of cabinet placement and home components are not in our scope of work when it comes to how you want the cabinets to look. Other than we cannot cover up an electrical piece that is hot with a cabinet without cutting a hole in the cabinet for access to the item. If you require an outlet to be moved due to cabinet design, you must have this taken care of prior to the day of Installation. A plumber is who shuts off your water for sink base install – we are not plumbers nor do we have the tools or parts that may be necessary to perform these duties.
NO. We do not install any appliance, nor are we responsible for moving them. If you have new appliances, we recommend that you have the company you purchased them from install them. For reuse of appliances, this is where a handyman comes in handy. Prior to install, we ask that you have everything (including appliances) removed from the area, so the installers have a clean place to work. If we are changing out your doors and drawer fronts only, all cabinets and drawers must be emptied out and stored out of the way.
No. An adult over the age of 18 must be present at all times. If a property is vacant, then yes, we can. If there is a lock box or gate code, please provide that to us at the time of scheduling the install.
No. You must own the property. A parcel number will be checked on the property and owners name MUST match the Cabinet buyer(s). If we are installing, we are attaching a fixture to your home. This cannot be done by us without a homeowner’s permission.
You have the ability to purchase a sample door. If the door is returned to us, a credit will be applied to your final payment for the cost of the door.
Yes. We will make up to two (2) colors free of charge for approval. Additional colors are at a cost of $80.00 per color. Our paints and stains are industrial and this is our cost to purchase the material to make a color sample. Not including the time to make it. Please refer to Sherwin Williams or Behr for paint colors, those we can match in industrial strength. If you want us to match a specific color (such as flooring) we need an actual physical sample. We DO NOT match off of photos, nor does our vendor.
